Art is the music of my soul.  I fashion jewelry that makes my heart sing and celebrates the beauty surrounding me.  My creations reflect nature, causes that move me, and my passion for the artistic process. I adore the challenge of the entire process: design, construction, finishing. My mediums are metal clay and metals and use texture extensively.  I love the alchemy of metal clay turning to metal, the play of light in transparent enamels and dichroic glass, and the exquisite charm of natural cabochons. I am passionate about color and add it with cabochons, dichroic glass and enamels (basse taille, champleve and cloisonne). Ultimately, I am nurtured through family and nature and gain inspiration from my many students.

While I have worked in various mediums since my youth it wasn't until 2007 when I took metal clay classes that I knew I had found my passion.  Having completed a course in cutting cabochons I was looking for a way to bezel set cabochons using textured metals. Metal clay turned out to be the perfect match. I love both metal clay and teaching so it was natural that I became an Art Clay Senior Certifying Instructor. I offer metal clay classes in my home studio.

I live in Freeland, WA overlooking Holmes Harbor with my husband and cat. Growing up along the New Jersey shore the ocean and sand are part of my soul.  Whidbey Islands helps keep the sand between my toes and a song in my heart!
